Tennessee: Defense
Unlike ‘Bama, Tennessee’s defense has been a statistical eyesore in the season’s first half.
The Volunteers unit is 13th in the conference, and a record performance will be in the cards if they are to pull this upset at Bryant-Denny, where they haven’t won at since 2003.
Their first key to improvement will be stopping Derrick Henry in his tracks, a task that is easier said than done.
Secondly, they will need to contain Jacob Coker’s pass defense, which is possible. But it will require much more focus from a unit that allows 248.5 yards per game.
