Auburn VS 19 Texas A&M
Location: Kyle Field, College Station, TX
Game Time: Saturday, November 7 7:30PM ET
TV: SEC Network
A late night and late fall game in College Station is something to be excited about. Too bad both teams are rather disappointing heading into Saturday night’s tilt. Auburn is fresh off back to back close losses, and you have to wonder if the home loss to Ole Miss last weekend was the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back.

Auburn plays decent defense with super talented defensive end Carl Lawson in the lineup. Lawson, returning from injury, gave Ole Miss’s Laremy Tunsil issues during the first half last week, which is something even All-American Myles Garrett (Texas A&M) was unable to do.
Auburn’s offense, on the other hand, looks like a train wreck. Last weekend Auburn flip-flopped quarterback like a trophy wife swaps shoes throughout the day. It’s abundantly clear the Jeremy Johnson experiment is over and Sean White deserves all the reps going forward. Will White be the quarterback for the Tigers in College Station this weekend? Is White even healthy enough to carry a game four quarters?
Speaking of quarterbacks, Texas A&M’s all-star recruit from last year, Kyler Murray, performed rather well against a poor South Carolina defense last weekend. Look for the competition to step-up against Auburn’s defense. Nonetheless, however, Murray appears to be a special talent. With Kyle Allen’s inability to operate Kevin Sumlin’s offense, it makes one wonder if Sumlin is searching desperately for his next Johnny Football.
A 7:30ET kickoff is much needed. Kyle Field should be a packed house and some potential achievements still remain for the two teams. Auburn has to pick up 2 more wins for bowl eligibility. Would only 6 regular season wins be a major disappointment for the Tigers? Most certainly. However, the pressure on the plains would be downright insufferable next fall if Malzahn suffers a losing record in year 3. Look for an Auburn team to come out fighting with their backs against the wall. I’m not sold on Auburn throwing in the towel just yet. Texas A&M would be wise to lock this game down early and pick up a win that would enhance their bowl resume.
