Mississippi State (7-2), (3-2) SEC
Dan Mullen and the Bulldogs have quietly worked their way to a 7-2 record, with early-season losses to LSU and Texas A&M. However, things will get tougher in the season’s last three weeks as they’ll face ‘Bama, Arkansas, and Mississippi before the season’s end.
Southbound and Down foresees the ‘Dawgs limping into the postseason with a 7-5 record, but they’ll have three opportunities to prove us wrong. If not, a lower-tier bowl will be a disappointing way for Dak Prescott to end his run as Mississippi State’s star quarterback. Like I said earlier in the season, we expect them to be playing in Houston this December.
Remaining Schedule: Alabama, at Arkansas, Ole Miss
Prediction: Texas Bowl
Next: Auburn: Gator Bowl
