Florida (8-1), (6-1) SEC

Wow, did the Florida Gators ever throw a scare into us mid-day last Saturday.  If the Gators’ couldn’t beat Vanderbilt, who could possibly win the SEC’s Eastern Division?

Somehow, they’re still in the conversation for the College Football Playoff.  Without Will Grier, though, what will it take to finish the regular season without another loss?

Gator Nation should have hope, however.  The defense is stronger than ever, despite the fact that they might be missing a few faces for their annual clash with the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday.

If they win the rest of their regular season games, they should have a bid to a New Year’s Six Bowl. Not too shabby for a team that finished 7-5 last season.  To top it all of, they’ll call Jim McElwain the coach of the year. If the Gators can beat ‘Bama? That’s whole different conversation.

Remaining Schedule: at South Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Florida State

Prediction: Peach Bowl

Next: Louisiana State: Sugar Bowl
