Mississippi Rebels

Why they’ll win: Key guard Stefan Moody leads the Rebels with 23.8 points per game, ranking 8th in the nation for the category.

When he’s not scoring in live action, he’s getting fouled and making his shots at the line. Moody shoots over 90 percent at the penalty stripe. He’s a big reason why the Rebels are off to their best start since the 2000-2001 season, helping head coach Andy Kennedy score victories over top sixty ranked RPI mid-majors like Georgia State and Louisiana Tech.

Why they won’t: Losses to Seton Hall and George Mason aren’t exactly resume boosters and they’ll need to improve a lot before trying to beat Kentucky again. Plus, they rank 12th in the conference in field goal and three-point percentage.
