SEC East V Big 10 West

Florida v Iowa – The Iowa Hawkeyes will be glad they don’t have to have a rematch with Tennessee after they were slaughtered in the 2015 Taxslayer Bowl.  This would be an interesting defensive matchup.

Tennessee v Northwestern –  Speaking of the Volunteers, Northwestern has to be envious of Iowa.  Northwestern also suffered a recent (humiliating) defeat at the hand of the Volunteers.  I’d expect more of the same here.

Georgia v Wisconsin – The temptation here is to make a special exemption and let Bielema’s Razorbacks face-off against his former team.  Instead we’d get a rushing attack clinic with a whole lot of big hits.

Vanderbilt – Minnesota Both teams underachieved in 2015 due to different reasons.  Minnesota defeated who they were supposed to, but didn’t do much else.  Vandy couldn’t score in SEC football, but maybe they could against this porous defense.

Missouri v Illinois – Missouri allowed less than 200 points all season, including SEC football play.  They just couldn’t score.  Illinois…didn’t really have an identity as they only scored 7 less than they gave up.  This would be fun to watch, as no one would know what to expect.

South Carolina v Purdue – These two teams had a combined 3 conference wins.  This would be either wildly entertaining or painfully boring.

Now that we’ve seen how exciting the matchups can be, it’s time to check out how the more highly touted divisions of each conference matchup.
