DeAndre Goolsby, Florida: 12%

Goolsby doesn’t have demonstratively better stats than anyone else mentioned on this list just yet. But there is a belief in two things: he’s a freak and Jim McElwain will figure out the quarterback situation. Goolsby will benefit and see a ton of passes come his way to begin the season, much like Blazevich. Goolsby may have the best physical gifts on this list outside of O.J. Howard, though, and will put them to good use in his second season under Smart while Blazevich learns a new offense.

Jeremy Sprinkle, Arkansas: 13%

I’m unashamed to admit it. I don’t need statistics to tell you why I expect Sprinkle to contend for the Mackey Award more than the other guys mentioned on this list so far.   All I need to know is if he is number 1 on the depth chart (yes) and if Bret Bielema is still the head coach (he is). Knowing those things to be true, I expect the Arkansas tight end to put up big numbers like I expect the starting running back to clear 1,000 yards with games remaining. It’s one of the few dependable things with SEC football.
