Evan Berry is known for two things: being Eric Berry‘s little brother, and being an explosive return man. Last season he averaged an incredible 38.3 yards per kick return and took three all the way to the house.

But this season, Berry will take on an even bigger responsibility: the role of starting safety. Tennessee fans are undoubtedly putting a lot of pressure on Evan, since his brother is one of the greatest safeties, in SEC history, but Evan has a chance to be great in his own right.

If he gets an interception you might as well just go ahead and put six points on the board, because you know he’s going to take it all the way back. Plus, his speed could make him an asset in blitz packages. He has the potential, in my eyes, to be more of a Tyrann Mathieu type player than he does to be a reincarnation of his elder brother. Considering Mathieu was a Heisman finalist I dare say that will be good enough.
