Darrius Sims has had an interesting career at Vanderbilt. He saw time at defensive back in his freshman and sophomore seasons. Then, last year he split his time between running back and wide receiver, though he was primarily a running back. He rushed for 250 yards on 43 carries and scored a touchdown. He also caught 10 passes for 110 yards.

This year, Sims is working at receiver full-time. Sims is small, at just 5’9″ 188 pounds, but he is cat quick and dangerous in open spaces. This being his senior year, it’s now or never for Sims to make an impact for the Commodores. I think he makes a big impact from the slot receiver spot, giving Kyle Shurmur a reliable, dangerous weapon to work with.
