Chad Kelly is the top quarterback in the SEC. Will he be good enough to beat Florida State in Week 1? Mandatory Credit: Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports /

When: Monday, September 5th, 7pm CT

Where: Camping World Stadium, Orlando, FL

How to Watch: ESPN

Chad Kelly lit up the SEC last season, completing 65 percent of his passes for 4042 yards and 31 touchdowns. He also rushed for 509 yards and 10 touchdowns. Kelly is the best quarterback in the SEC, and he returns three of his favorite targets in Quincy Adeboyejo, Damore’ea Stringfellow, and Evan Engram. He does however lose starting tailback Jaylen Walton and star left tackle Laremy Tunsil.

On defense the Rebels lose nose tackle Robert Nkemdiche but should still be strong on the line. Where they will be weak is at middle linebacker and safety. Can Florida State exploit those weaknesses?

Prediction: This should be an amazing game, but I think Florida State wins. Dalvin Cook will run over the Rebels without Nkemdiche holding down the fort. Kelly will put up points in bunches, but it won’t be enough. Give me the Seminoles in a shootout.
