How to Watch: TBA

Kentucky had a pretty lousy year last season, finishing 5-7. The good news for them is that 9 of 11 of their offensive starters return this season, as does virtually their entire secondary. What’s unfortunate is that they have to essentially rebuild their front seven from scratch. They do still have one of the SEC’s most underrated players, in tailback Boom Williams, which is nice. Last season as a sophomore he averaged 7.1 yards per carry on 121 attempts. Louisville will have their hands full with him.

Louisville, meanwhile, had a solid season, finishing 8-5. They return 16 starters, the most important of whom is dual-threat quarterback Lamar Jackson. Jackson is an electrifying athlete, and if he played on a better team he would be a dark-horse Heisman candidate. Last season he scored 11 rushing touchdowns and added 12 through the air. If he can cut down on interceptions and improve his completion percentage he will be a nightmare to defend.

Prediction: Kentucky hangs tough for a half but then Louisville pulls away to win by three touchdowns or more.
