Alabama over Western Kentucky (+28.5), Saturday 2:30 PM (CT), Bryant Denny Stadium

Alabama was one of the few SEC teams that didn’t disappoint in week one. Despite getting off to a slow start, the Crimson Tide were dominant on both sides of the ball against USC. Bama appears to have two good options at quarterback and the defense looks to be one of Saban’s best. It’s clear that Alabama is currently strides above the rest of the conference at this point in the season.

However, week two is typically a sloppy week for the Crimson Tide and they will likely be looking ahead to Ole Miss. Add in the fact that Western Kentucky boasts a very good team with an explosive passing attack and we have the combination for a closer game than most would expect. Bama will likely continue to experiment at quarterback this week, which could lead to another slow start offensively. This game will likely be close in the first half, but Bama will prove too much for the Hilltoppers and will pull away in the second half. Prediction: Alabama 42, Western Kentucky 17
