Week Two Predictions for the SEC
By Jake Ingram
TCU (-7.5) over Arkansas, Saturday 6:00 PM (CT), Amon G. Carter Stadium
Arkansas narrowly avoided the list of SEC teams to get upset in week one, but they are firmly on the list of mediocre teams for the week. The Razorbacks were forced to come from behind in the 4th quarter to secure a one point win over LA Tech. Quarterback Austin Allen’s first start was a mixed bag as he threw the game winning touchdown, but also threw two interceptions that led to touchdowns.
TCU wasn’t exactly impressive in their win over South Dakota State either as they gave up 41 points. The good news for the Horned Frogs is that former Texas A&M quarterback Kenny Hill played well after getting off to a slow start. The Horned Frogs faced a lot of questions entering the season, but it looks as if their offense will continued to be high-powered. It’s difficult to imagine the Razorbacks defense slowing down Hill’s passing attack or Austin Allen keeping up in a shootout on the road. Prediction: TCU 38, Arkansas 24
