LSU (-14) over Mississippi State, Saturday 6:00 PM (CT), Tiger Stadium

Did LSU finally find an answer for their offensive woes with quarterback Danny Etling? I doubt it, but he looks to be a slight improvement over Brandon Harris. As physically talented as Harris is, his days at QB for the Tiger may be done as it’s apparent that his confidence is completely shot.

On the other side, Mississippi State appears to have found their quarterback in sophomore Nick Fitzgerald. The Bulldogs managed to bounce back with a nice win over. South Carolina is admittedly bad, but any strong outing is a good sign for the Bulldogs after their week one debacle. Are the Bulldogs up to the task of winning in Tiger Stadium? It’s not as unlikely as it seems as we still don’t what LSU really is. But, assuming Leonard Fournette is back, the Tigers should be able to win fairly comfortably at home if they can just get average QB play. Expect the Tigers to ride Leonard Fournette to an ugly win. LSU 24, Mississippi State 14
