Kentucky (+2.5) over Georgia, Saturday 6:30 PM (CT), Commonwealth Stadium

How bad are things in Athens right now? After firing Mark Richt for failing to win championships, the Bulldogs are now on the verge of missing a bowl game. It’s safe to say that fans in Athens are starting to second guess themselves about the decision to move on from Richt. Surprisingly, Kentucky enters the game trending upwards. After a rough start to the season, the Wildcats have now won 5 out of their last 6 games and are on the verge of becoming bowl eligible for the first time under Mark Stoops.

I may be giving the Wildcats too much credit as they haven’t exactly beaten a good team, but I think the Wildcats win outright. Kentucky is playing their best football of the season and Georgia’s season is on the rails. I think Georgia will also get caught looking ahead to Auburn and the Bulldogs aren’t good enough to look past anyone right now. I think Kentucky manages to pull of the upset against Georgia with a late game winning field goal. Kentucky 24, Georgia 21
