SEC Basketball: Top performers at SEC Tournament

Fox was named tournament MVP after Kentucky’s 82-65 win over Arkansas in the SEC Championship game. Fox averaged 22 points, 2.7 assists, and 1.7 steals. He also shot 62 percent (21-of-34) from the field and shot 3-for-5 from threes.
After averaging 16.1 points per game in the regular season, Fox stepped his game up in the SEC Tournament. With the WIldcats’ leading scorer, Malik Monk, struggling against Georgia, Fox, along with Isaiah Briscoe, took over. The two went for 20 points each on their way to 71-60 win over the Bulldogs.
In the semifinals against Alabama, Fox was even better. The freshman went for a career-high 28 points on 8-of-12 shooting, and made 11 out of 15 from the free throw line.
In the finals against Arkansas, Fox led the Wildcats in scoring for the third straight game, helping lead Kentucky to their third straight conference championship.
