(4) West Virginia or (5) Notre Dame

If Vanderbilt makes it to the Sweet Sixteen, they will likely face either the 4-seed West Virginia or the 5-seed Notre Dame.

West Virginia (26-8)

The 2016-17 West Virginia Mountaineers are your typical Bob Huggins team. They have 10 guys who average double-digit minutes per game and they get after it defensively.

West Virginia is 1st in the nation with 353 steals, an average of 10.4 per game. The Mountaineers are also 45th in the country in scoring defense, allowing 66.3 points per game.

And despite having only two players who average double-figures in points, West Virginia is 21st in the nation with 82.0 points per game.

Jevon Carter is the leader for the Mountaineers, averaging 13.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 2.6 steals.

Notre Dame (25-9)

In the three seasons since Notre Dame joined the ACC, the Fighting Irish have made the Elite Eight twice, and this team could be poised for another run.

The Irish lost a heavyweight fight against Duke in the ACC Championship on Sunday, and they will have to get past Ivy League-champion Princeton in the first round.

Notre Dame has four players that average double-figures, and Bonzie Colson leads the way with 17.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per game.
