Arkansas Basketball: Road to the NCAA Final Four
By Matt Green
(1) North Carolina (27-7)
The Tar Heels are one of the favorites to win it all, so this will be a tough team for the Razorbacks to beat.
The only other time Mike Anderson’s Arkansas team made it to the tournament was 2015 and they were eliminated in the second round by the 4-seed North Carolina.
This year’s team has just about everything you could want. They have excellent guard play, plenty of size down low, and a star player to take the final shot with the game on the line.
The Tar Heels are second in the nation with 619 assists, an average of 18.2 assists per game. They’re also first in the nation with 1,479 rebounds, an average of 43.5 rebounds per game.
Justin Jackson was the ACC player of the year, averaging 18.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game.
It’s going to take a lot to beat this team.
