Florida Basketball: Road to the NCAA Final Four

The Florida Gators are back in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2014, and this time it’s with a new head coach.

Mike White is in his second season as Florida basketball coach and was awarded SEC coach of the year after leading the Gators to a 24-8 record this season.
The Gators won nine straight games from late January to late February and got as high as no. 12 in the AP poll. But Florida lost three of their final four games to close the season, including two losses to Vanderbilt.
Florida is no stranger to tournament runs. Under Billy Donovan Florida went to the Final Four as recent as 2014, and they went to three straight Elite Eights from 2011-2013. And the Gators, of course, won back-to-back national championships in 2006 and 2007.
KeVaughn Allen was named to first-team All-SEC, and Kasey Hill was named to first-team all-defense. And Canyon Berry was named the SEC sixth man of the year.
Going into the tournament as a 4-seed, it’s not outlandish to think Florida could make a run to the Final Four. But this is what it would take:
