Florida

Florida surprised people with their absolute annihilation of the Virginia Cavaliers. The Gators’ biggest lead was 29 points, and won by a final score of 65-39.

The Gators held Virginia to 29.6 percent from the field and 6.7 percent (1-for-15) from threes. And the Cavaliers’ 39 points are the fewest points in the NCAA tournament since 2015 when Kentucky beat West Virginia 78-39 in the Sweet 16.

This marks Florida’s fifth Sweet 16 appearance in the last seven years, and the first under second-year head coach Mike White.

Florida will face the 8-seed Wisconsin on Friday at 9:59 EST at Madison Square Garden in New York.
