Kentucky

The WIldcats won a thrilling contest against Wichita State in the second round on Sunday. The Shockers had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds, but Kentucky’s Bam Adebayo blocked Landry Shamet’s three pointer as time expired to preserve the 65-62 victory.

This marks the sixth Sweet 16 appearance for the Wildcats in the eight years since John Calipari took over in Lexington. And in those previous five appearances, Kentucky has advanced past the Sweet 16 every time, and even gone to the Final Four four times.

The Wildcats will face the 3-seed UCLA on Friday at 9:39 EST at the FedEx Center in Memphis.
