Last year this defense struggled. They ranked 8th in the SEC in yards per game, and 9th in points per game. But that doesn’t really tell the whole story.

In conference play they allowed over 50 more yards per game and just under seven more points per game. Paul Rhodes was the defensive backs coach then, but now is the defensive coordinator.

He will have to find to find a way to hide the many things that are flawed about this defense. The question remains, how can he?

Arkansas is not a team that turns you over a lot, nor do they apply a lot of pressure in the trenches.

One possible solution is being able to score touchdowns on their turnovers. Last year they scored four touchdowns off their 10 interceptions.

However, there are too many other questions for this defense for there to be only one solution, and it is up to Paul Rhodes to find them.
