While Missouri has never won a national championship, they did rank no. 1 back in 1990 when they were still a member of the Big 8 conference. And since the 1971-72 season, they’ve been ranked in 28 of those 46 seasons. The Tigers are actually second behind Xavier for the most NCAA Tournament wins without reaching a Final Four.
