2002 was the only time Alabama has been ranked no. 1. In 35 seasons from 1972 to 2007, the Crimson Tide were ranked in 23 of those seasons. But they’ve only been ranked in one of the last 10 seasons. Alabama is third behind Xavier and Missouri for the most NCAA Tournament wins without reaching a Final Four.
