9. Hugh Freeze, Ole Miss

Freeze has been at Ole Miss for five years, which is tied with Kevin Sumlin for the third longest tenured coach in the SEC. He is 39-25 in his time in Oxford, a .609 winning percentage.

Freeze is only about a year removed from being the next big thing among SEC coaches, but a 5-7 season will quickly change people’s perceptions. And an on-going NCAA investigation doesn’t help either.

Freeze really only has two claims to fame since he arrived at Ole Miss. One was the 2013 recruiting class that was one of the top 10 classes in the country and featured five-stars like Robert Nkemdiche, Laremy Tunsil, and Laquon Treadwell.

His other claim to fame was beating Alabama two years in a row in 2014 and 2015. And they might’ve beaten the Crimson Tide again last year if it weren’t for Alabama’s three non-offensive touchdowns after the Rebels built a 24-3 lead.

Freeze might have the hottest seat in the SEC, and if they don’t see a significant improvement in 2017, it might be his last.
