7. Will Muschamp, South Carolina

Muschamp might not be a popular pick for this list, but given the lack of experience among the bottom half of the SEC coaches, Muschamp rounds out the top half. He’s likely on this list simply because he has five years of experience as a head coach in this league.

While he only posted a 28-21 record in his four years at Florida, after seeing what the Gators defense has been the two years since he left Gainesville shows that he didn’t exactly leave the cupboard bare.

Muschamp has his work cut out for him in Columbia. South Carolina is not Florida. But he is a proven defensive coach and a great recruiter. If he can build any sort of offense at South Carolina, he could be even higher on this list.
