Guz Malzahn: 8

The Malzahn era at Auburn could not have started any better. They had a magical season in 2013 that led them to an SEC title and a BCS title game appearance. But the magic appears to be wearing off.

Despite being ranked in the top 10 at some point during each of the last three seasons, the Tigers are only 23-16 over that same time period.

Looking at Auburn’s 2017 schedule, their record is nearly impossible to predict. It wouldn’t be a surprise if they went 6-6 this season, but it also wouldn’t be surprising if they went 10-2.

If the Tigers go 8-5 again this season, and lose to Georgia and Alabama for the fourth straight year, that made be all she wrote for Malzahn on The Plains.
