Jim McElwain: 5

McElwain is in an interesting position. In two years in Gainesville, the Gators have gone 19-8 and won the SEC East both years, the only coach to ever win the division in each of his first two years.

But it seems like they’ve done it with smoke and mirrors. McElwain was described as a sort of offensive guru, and not only have the Gators been winning with defense, but the offense has been inept, at best.

The Gators lost a lot from last year’s defense, and they still don’t have the quarterback position solidified. We will learn a lot about McElwain in 2017.
