No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide

Song Title: Yea Alabama

SEC fans outside Tuscaloosa probably here this song in their sleep, it’s been played so often in recent years, but that doesn’t take away from it being a pretty powerful fight song.

This tune would actually be closer to the top if it weren’t for some outdated lyrics that make little sense for the current program.

“Send the Yellow Jackets to a watery grave”, referring to a once-common rivalry with Georgia Tech, a team the Crimson Tide hasn’t played since 1984, should probably be replaced. Another line, “Remember the Rose Bowl we’ll win then” is also dated, as the SEC is more closely associated with the Sugar Bowl.

But the drumroll leading into a beautifully harmonized fanfare get this one off to a great start. Then the song itself is plucky and exciting to listen to, with a flourish of rising chords to close things out.
