10. South Carolina at Missouri (Sept. 9)

The Battle of Columbia may not seem like a sexy matchup. But when you take a closer look, this game could under-the-radar be one of the most exciting games of the SEC football season.

For starters, this game satisfies our need for SEC football. After eight months without college football, South Carolina and Missouri kick off the SEC football schedule on the second week of the regular season.

This is also lining up to be a great matchup. Each of these teams return 10 starters on offense. South Carolina beat Missouri 31-21 last season in Williams-Brice Stadium.

Missouri already had one of the conference’s best offenses last season, and now they have another year with Drew Lock running the show. They also return J’Mon Moore, one of the SEC’s best wide receivers, and they return all five starters on offense

And while South Carolina didn’t have a great offense, half way through the season they found their quarterback in Jake Bentley, who will be a sophomore in 2017. They also return Deebo Samuel, one of the SEC’s most dynamic playmakers. And after missing the 2016 season, Skai Moore is back to lead the Gamecocks’ defense.

The winner of this game could be a dark horse in the SEC East.
