8. Auburn at LSU (Oct. 14)

The annual Battle of the Tigers always seems to be one of the first true heavyweight slugfests of the SEC football season, but this season these teams won’t meet until the seventh game of the season.

As we mentioned before, the 2016 meeting between Auburn and LSU was one of the wildest, most controversial endings to a college football game last season. LSU appeared to throw a game-winning touchdown as time expired, but the officials ruled that they didn’t get the play off and Auburn won 18-13. It was also the last game of the Les Miles era.

This year’s game could determine who the top contender is to unseat Alabama from their SEC West throne.
