Arkansas

9-3 (5-3)

Arkansas is my sleeper in the SEC West. While the Razorbacks went 7-6 last season, they blew a 17-point lead to Missouri and a 24-point lead to Virginia Tech in the Belk Bowl to close the season. This is a team that easily could’ve finished 9-4.

They return one of the few senior quarterbacks in the SEC in Austin Allen. While they did lose six of their top seven receivers from last season, the Razorbacks are built on running the ball.

I expect the Razorbacks’ Oct. 14 date with Alabama to be a showdown of two undefeated teams. And the only games I see Arkansas losing are to Alabama, Auburn, and at LSU. Call me naive, but I’m a believer in Bret Bielema, but if he doesn’t get it done this season, it could be his last in Fayetteville, Ark.
