Missouri

7-5 (3-5)

Missouri is my sleeper in the SEC East. They return 10 starters on offense, and last season they already had one of the best offenses in the SEC. The Tigers, along with Ole Miss, were the only two schools in the SEC to miss a bowl game last season.

While 7-5 might not be great, it’s big step forward from their 4-8 season a year ago. Drew Lock has all the tools to be a big-time quarterback, and I expect him to take a giant step forward in 2017.

The Tigers have to play Auburn and Arkansas from the SEC West this season, which I project both to be losses. I also see them losing on the road against Kentucky, as well as to Georgia and Florida.

The Tigers open up the 2017 SEC football season in week two in the Battle of Columbia. The South Carolina Gamecocks will travel to Missouri, and while Farout Field is a tough place to play, don’t be surprised if the Gamecocks win that game.
