What we learned from the first weekend of the SEC Football season

Kevin Sumlin might not make it through the season
Texas A&M may have stolen the headlines from the SEC football weekend. They were the only SEC football team to play a true road game against a Power 5 opponent. After opening last season against UCLA in College Station, the Aggies made the trip out west this season.
The Aggies had everything going for them in Week 1. Texas A&M led 38-10 at halftime, and a field goal with 4:08 remaining in the third quarter put them up 44-10. That’s when everything went horribly wrong.
On UCLA’s final five drives of the game, Josh Rosen went 24-for-33 for 362 yards and four touchdowns, leading the Bruins to a 45-44 comeback win.
After the second half collapses of each of the past three seasons, Sumlin already entered the season on the hot seat. Blowing a 34-point lead in the season opener is only going to turn up the temperature in College Station.
