SEC football teams are back at it this week after a hurricane interrupted week 2. Here are the picks in order of SEC team ranking.

The SEC football schedule is starting to get into full swing, with some full-fledged rivalries getting under way in week 3 action. Biggest game of the week is Tennessee traveling to Gainesville, Florida to take on the Florida Gators in a post-Irma battle in the Swamp.

So far in SEC action, my picks are 20-6 on the season against the spread according to odds on SportsBookReview.com

We’ve got dogs everywhere this week. Bulldogs versus Bulldogs in Athens, Bulldogs trying to prove they’re as tough as they look in Starkville, and a few underdogs thrown in for good measure.

SEC Football Dog of the Week

Each week I provide one underdog I see as an all-but-lock upset game. This week’s may be a surprise.

Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns at Texas A&M Aggies (-24)
12:00 pm – Kyle Field, College Station, Tx.

24 points is an awfully big spread to give to a team who has proven nothing but the ability to give up big leads and play down to their opponent’s level. Louisiana can score in bunches (93 points through the first two games) and the Aggies defense hasn’t shown it can stop much besides the hopes of fans in College Station.

Aggies probably (and I stress probably) pull this one out, but look for the Ragin’ Cajuns to cover 24 on Saturday afternoon. SportsBookReview gives Louisiana a 60 percent chance of covering. Take the points and have some gumbo.

SEC Football Blowout of the Week.

Each week I provide one team who is a sure lock to beat the spread and then some. This week’s will be relatively easy.

Samford Bulldogs at Georgia Bulldogs
7:30 pm – Sanford Stadium, Athens, Ga.

Currently no spread available for this game, but whatever it is (short of triple-digits) take the Bulldogs from Athens to cover.

This is the second ever trip to Athens for FCS Samford, with the first meeting coming in 1954m a 39-0 Georgia win. They’ll head back to Homewood, Alabama with a stinging loss and a fat paycheck to ease the pain.
