Missouri is a lost cause

Missouri was the worst team in the SEC last season. With a 4-8 record, they were the only team in the SEC East that failed to make a bowl game last year, and one of two SEC football teams overall (Ole Miss) to miss a bowl game.

The negativity started when Missouri gave up 43 points in a win over an FCS opponent. Then the last two weeks have gotten worse. The Tigers managed just 13 points at home in their 31-13 loss to South Carolina. Then on Saturday they were blown out 35-3 by Purdue. PURDUE! The Boilermakers are a combined 9-39 over the last four years, and they destroyed Missouri.

We knew the defense was going to struggle, but it’s the offense that has been so disappointing. The Tigers have been outscored 66-16 the past two weeks, while the offense has scored just one touchdown. I predicted Missouri to go 7-5 this season, but now I wouldn’t be surprised to see them go 3-9 this season.
