(1) Alabama Crimson Tide (5-0)

Right now, it’s as if Nick Saban hired fifty-something mechanical terminators to take the field in those classic crimson and white uniforms, trained to effortlessly dispatch any adversary with the lift of one single finger. I know that sounds a little far fetched but this team looks crazy good right now.

After giving up 23 points to Colorado State three weeks ago in a win that was closer than most expected, Alabama’s defense crafted together two extraordinary performances in back-to-back weeks. The Tide’s offense has been firing on all cylinders as well. Here’s a stat for you: Alabama has outscored their previous two opponents (Vanderbilt and Ole Miss) by a combined score of 125-3. Alabama has once again emerged as the SEC’s poster team and Saban’s platoon of four and five-star warriors aren’t showing any signs of slowing up.
