 Mississippi State Bulldogs (3-2)

From there, you could argue that the Mississippi State Bulldogs appear next in the SEC West’s power rankings. I know, you probably think I’m joking right? Mississippi State just got derailed by Georgia 31-3 two weeks ago and throttled by Auburn in a 49-10 on Saturday.

Dan Mullen and his Bulldogs have gotten outscored 80-13 in the last eight quarters of play and quickly went from “contender” to “pretender” after their 30-point victory over LSU. Albeit, Dan Mullen just faced two of the best teams that the SEC has to offer, but the schedule opens up nicely for the Bulldogs the rest of the way. However, this doesn’t take away from the fact that Mississippi State has yet to prove that they’re a serious contender in the SEC West, and they still have to play Alabama.
