Tennessee (-2) vs. South Carolina

It was a year ago when Tennessee came in as the favorite, yet South Carolina came out as the victor. As Butch Jones’ job seemingly hangs in the balance, another loss to the Gamecocks could further increase his chances of being ousted.

Tennessee is 3-2 (0-2), and currently sits in fifth place in the SEC East. While this is a pivotal matchup, there is also look-ahead potential, as the Vols travels to Tuscaloosa to visit the first-ranked Crimson Tide.

After a rocky start, South Carolina has a groundswell of momentum coming out of a 48-22 win over the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Mississippi State (-20.5) vs. BYU

In the return of a home-and-home series that began last season, the Mississippi State Bulldogs host the BYU Cougars for a noon kickoff in Starkville. The Bulldogs have cooled down after a dominant win over LSU in week 3 that had many calling them the second-best team in the conference.

Mullen’s team has an opportunity to gain some of that momentum back, as BYU currently sits at 1-5. A Cougar team that has been consistently solid has seen a severe drop-off in year two after the departure of Bronco Mendenhall.
