(21) Auburn @ Arkansas

There’s no early line on this game, likely based on the questions surrounding the status Razorback quarterback Austin Allen. Freshman Cole Kelley got the start against Alabama, going 23-for-42 for 200 yards with a touchdown and an interception. At 6’7″ and 268 lbs, Kelley is an exciting athlete, but it’s difficult for a freshman to come in and save a team that is on the down slide.

Meanwhile, the roller coaster that has been Auburn in the last few years continued last week. After going up 20-0, the Tigers went completely blank in the second half, eventually losing by a score of 27-23. After a nice three-game run, Saturday brought back a lot of the recurring problems Gus Malzahn has had on the plains. It will be interesting to see how the Tigers respond against Arkansas.

Mississippi State (-10) vs. Kentucky

With Georgia’s success, the 5-1 Kentucky Wildcats have flown under the radar. That isn’t without reason, as all five have been close wins over teams like Mizzouri and Eastern Kentucky. Still, Mark Stoops’ team sits at 2-1 in the SEC, with a chance to move to 3-1 and remain in second in the SEC east.

The Bulldogs, however, are the favorites at home. Following a 35-10 win over BYU, they could parlay that momentum into a nice four-week stretch before playing Alabama in mid-November.

Missouri (-14) vs. Idaho

Missouri has lost five straight, and finally gets a break from SEC football with a game against an Idaho team in its last season at the FBS level. At 1-5, they are hanging on to bowl eligibility by a thread, and they will likely keep that hope alive in the next two weeks against the Vandals and UConn.
