On Monday, SEC fans said goodbye to the Georgia Dome in Atlanta as it was imploded to make way for a tailgating space for the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Many SEC teams have had the chance to play in the Georgia Dome over the years as it hosted the Peach Bowl, the Chik-fil-A Kickoff Game and the SEC Championship Game.

This year, for the first time since 1993, the Georgia Dome will not host the SEC Championship. The new home for the conference title game will be at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
