No. 3: Alabama vs. Florida 2015
If you enjoy a high-scoring affair, this was not the game for you. But the 2015 SEC Championship Game between No. 2 Alabama and No. 18 Florida was a lot of fun for defense people. The Crimson Tide defeated the Gators 29-15 in the Georgia Dome that year.
Alabama held the Gators to just 180 total yards (165 passing, 15 rushing). Florida also only had seven first downs, while the Crimson Tide had 25.
The first score of the game was an Alabama safety, and that was the only score of the entire first quarter. Florida did pull ahead in the second quarter. But the Crimson Tide had taken the lead by halftime, and they maintained that lead until the end of the game.
Florida did score late in the fourth quarter to stay in the game. But Alabama stopped the Gators from scoring on their next possession, and the Crimson Tide was able to run the clock down. Alabama went on to finish in the top four of the College Football Playoff rankings after winning the conference title.
Alabama definitely outplayed Florida, but this game was no blowout.
