SEC Basketball Player and Freshman of the Week

The SEC Player of the Week is LSU’s Duop Reath. The senior forward from Perth, Australia, scored a career-high 30 points in 27 minutes of action to lead the Tigers to a win over UNC-Wilmington. Reath scored on 13-of-17 field goal attempts and made all three free throws.

Arkansas’s Daniel Gafford is SEC Freshman of the Week. Gafford averaged 15 points with 6.5 rebounds and four blocks to lead the Razorbacks past number 14 Minnesota. Perfect from the field against the Gophers, Gafford made all eight of his shots. Gafford has pulled down five or more rebounds in seven straight games and has multiple blocks in five games.
