Everyone wants to know who will win the College Football Playoff.  Everyone from Steven A Smith to Paul Finebaum has an opinion on who will play for the big trophy and who will go home a participant. Only one source has yet to be heard from – the Oracle , the All Wise regarding romance, finance, health and college football.

Magic 8 Ball: signs point to yes.

Indeed, three College Football Playoff participating teams rank one, two, and three in total yards allowed above opponent’s offensive average yardage: Alabama, Clemson, and Georgia. Oklahoma ranks 38, one better than Georgia Tech. Ironically, Wisconsin ranked fourth.

Magic 8 Ball, does offense matter?

It is indeed possible, as Oklahoma ranks number one in total offensive yardage against opponent’s average defense. But the remaining three of the top four rankings belong to Ohio State, Louisville, and Oklahoma State. Of these, only Ohio State was a serious contender for a playoff spot.
