More Aggie misery
The misery for Texas A&M continued, as the Aggies watched LSU freshman Tremont Waters score twice from behind the three-point arc in the final 12 seconds for an LSU 69-68 win and a second consecutive home loss for Texas A&M.
Clearly the class of SEC basketball during pre-conference play, Texas A&M is in last place. With two home losses already, the Aggies could be looking up at the rest of the conference for a while.
The Aggies might have been alert to LSU’s potential. LSU inbounded the ball and attempted a jump shot with .8 second left in Rupp Arena before losing to number 17 ranked Kentucky 74-71.
Kentucky followed its home win over the Tigers with a road loss to number 23 ranked Tennessee in Thompson-Boling Arena. The Volunteers outscored the Wildcats in the second half 47-28 to earn their first conference victory of the season, 76-65. Tennessee out-rebounded Kentucky 37-30. No team had out-rebounded the Cats by more than one this season.
