Maturity matters

There are still signs the Aggies have some more growing up to do. Referring to an in-game incident, Kennedy said. “Guys are thinking they’re going to play a lot of minutes, and all of a sudden, they get taken out of the game and not handling it well.”

There is still plenty of time for A&M to play well and earn a good NCAA seed, but the five game winless streak has fans wondering if the pre-conference success was a tease.

Karels raised concerns before the season when Kennedy announced that Robert Williams was suspended for two games and Caldwell for four. This after starters Hogg and Admon Gilder missed the exhibition for violating team rules.

Texas A&M suffered from leadership deficiencies last season. Now, the players expected to lead on the court have apparently fallen down off the court.

Carter Karels  looks like a prophet now.
