Finishing with the boys

Ledbetter will anchor the 2018 Georgia football defensive line. When discussing why he would remain with the Bulldogs for his senior season, he gave similar reasons as this past year’s super-seniors gave.

“Honestly, I think I want to stay,” he said. “I think it’s just best for me and my family and I just hope a lot of the other guys decide to kind of stay as well. I really feel like we have a chance to do it again and I believe everybody else does.”

Cy Brown of DawgNation expressed the sentiments of those close to the Georgia football program. “It has been a joy to watch Ledbetter improve and mature during his three years in Athens.”

Ledbetter came to Georgia in 2015 as a four-star recruit and the number eight  ranked prospect in Georgia. He is one of several prospects then Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart lost to Georgia.

Ledbetter was an emotional, vocal leader for the Bulldogs in 2017. His Georgia football journey got a little off the rails, but he’s now on track and steaming into his senior year. If Natrez Patrick can follow in those footsteps, the Georgia defense has a chance to be special again in 2018.
