The most successful Ole Miss basketball coach

Still, Kennedy had a nice record at Ole Miss. In 12 season he became the winningest coach in program history with 245 wins, 18th best in SEC history. Kennedy won the 2013 SEC Tournament and appeared in two NCAA Tournaments. Kennedy’s Rebel teams appeared three times in the AP Top 20. His winning percentage is above 61 percent.

The 108-year winning percentage for Ole Miss basketball is 49.9 percent. This season will be Kennedy’s first season under 50 percent. Kennedy has been the most successful Ole Miss basketball coach since Homer Hazel’s retirement as football coach, basketball coach, and athletic director in 1930. More than a few pundits opined that Kennedy achieved under difficult circumstances.
