Media analysis

Of course, media members do provide insights into the coming season, although perhaps Joe Rexrode of the Nashville Tennessean tried too hard when he said the Vanderbilt – Tennessee match up is more compelling than the Alabama – Auburn match up the same day.

"“I’d rather be at Tennessee-Vanderbilt that day, and I’m not just saying that because I’m required by my employer to be there. That will be a better football game, in terms of intrigue and competitiveness if not football talent.”"

Vandy will indeed be going for it’s first three season sweep over the Volunteers since 1926 when Vandy ripped off it’s sixth straight win over Tennessee. More likely, Rexrode just meant it will be easier to get tickets to the Vols – Dores match-up.

John Dell Bianco of 247Sports The Big Spur served the sports fans around the SEC well. Bianco published  the Ten likely questions Gamecocks will face at SEC media days . He also published the answers.
