Using the recently announced Southeastern Conference Preseason All-SEC Team to create an infallible predictor, Southbound and Down releases it’s SEC team predictions.

Since it’s the Jimmies and Joes that win games, not the Xs and Os, the Preseason Coaches All-SEC Football Team should be a sound predictor of each SEC team’s success. Southbound and Down’s uses this logic to predict where each SEC team will rank at the end of the 2018 season.

The Southbound and Down SEC Team Predictor assigns each team one point for each member of the 2018 Preseason Coaches All-SEC Football Team. With Georgia leading the East with 12 Preseason All-SEC picks, and Alabama, Auburn and Mississippi State leading the West with ten, nine, and eight, the SEC appears to have four elite teams that will fight for the SEC title. Tennessee and Vanderbilt have one and two members named Preseason All-SEC and seem destined for the SEC cellar in 2018.
